Josef Stafford | He/Him

Co-Host & Writer at The Historical Natives

Traditional Name: Ojiitch Kwandibens-Spade | Clans: Loon & Sturgeon

Since he could speak and draw, Josef Stafford has been creating art of multiple mediums. Upon receiving his Double-Dogwood Degree, Josef had no idea what to do with his life. Since he was a gold medalist in architectural drafting, he decided to begin his post-secondary career studying interior design at the Wilson School of Design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. He left home for the first time and proceeded to fail most of his courses within the first semester. Broken and lost, he decided to take a different path in the meantime. The following year, Josef began studying business administration at Camosun College. All was well until loss of interest and procrastination led him towards suspension.

He decided to take a break from educational institutions and, like his father, focus on creating a business of his own. But, traumatized by the foreboding words of John D. Rockefeller, "If you're only goal is to become rich, you'll never achieve it," he decided to focus on what he's always loved, art. Josef's goals for The Historical Natives is to create an enjoyable and accessible database of Native American culture, and to create exciting/horror-themed art based on those historical creatures.

While everyday remains a constant struggle, he continues to work hard and learning on his own how to make this project excel. And with the help of those around him, he strongly believes The Historical Natives will be a success.
